Today’s prayers will be directed towards Lithuania the southernmost of the three Baltic states. Lithuania has been mostly Catholic since the country adopted Catholicism back in 1387. In modern times it is a mostly nominal faith, but 14% of Lithuanians are still active in their faith. Evangelical believers make up less than 2% of the population and a decent sized chunk of the population claim no faith at all. Since Lithuanians broke free from Soviet control the evangelical population has been increasing.
Please pray for:
Increased renewal in Catholic churches and a focus ob Christ and His Word.
For God’s Spirit to move among Lithuanians, increasing their desire to follow and serve Him.
For the leaders in the evangelical churches to reach out to the non-believers in new ways.
